Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Canada denounces Hateful and Malicious report to defame Hindu Community

In another act of hate against Hindus in Canada, two self-proclaimed Human rights organizations with connections to extremist & secessionist ideology have published a false and malicious report against many Hindu organizations (including VHP Canada) and individuals. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Canada strongly condemns such hateful & malicious content being circulated by organizations with vested interests to drive hate against the minority Hindu community with 830,000 members in Canada. This completely false and vendetta driven report to drive hate comes on the heels of a series of anti-Hindu, anti-India graffiti attacks, break ins and vandalization at more than ten Hindu Temples across Ontario – including Ram Mandir in Mississauga (February 2023), Gauri Shankar Mandir in Brampton, (January 2023) and at the BAPS Mandir in Toronto (September 2022). Unfortunately, in recent times, Hindu-Canadians have increasingly become targets of hate crimes and Hindu phobic attacks from the growing, vocal and well-organized anti-Hindu and anti-India groups. Such malevolent and hateful attacks on a peace loving, progressive and inclusive Hindu community, believing in the values of “Vasudeva Kutumbukam” (meaning the world is one family) are intended to drive hate crimes by vested groups against the community. VHP Canada demands strict actions against such malicious and hate mongering organizations who use unfounded arguments to spread lies against Hindu organizations and the Hindu community. In addition, we also request Governments, Politicians and Human rights groups to unite in building awareness against growing Hinduphobia in Canada which is the first step towards building concrete laws to tackle it.

Sincerely,
Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Canada (World Hindu Council)
